VW Westfalia Syncro on Van Life GeekWelcome to VanlifeGeek.com! My name is Van O'Brien and I'm living in a 1986 VW Vanagon Westfalia Syncro high in the Rockies in Northern Colorado with my dog Loki (Update: Unfortunately, Loki has passed and now I'm looking for my next furry van partner - see NEW update below!), I'll be posting pictures, videos, product reviews, and more. Be sure to check out my approved product page where I share products that I like and use in my van, including links to buy them on Amazon and other sites. I have also recently added a photo & video recommended gear page with some of the products I use, as well as a brand new recommended pet product page. Check out my new van updates & upgrades page, where I outline some of the improvements I've made to the van in more detail. A full list of upgrades is listed on the About my Syncro page, as well as information on Westfalias and Syncros.

I'll be documenting my van life adventures with pictures and videos, so check out my photo galleries and video gallery to see what I'm up to. I'm just getting started, so check back often. I'll also be doing some honest product reviews on stuff that I like and I think work well for folks living in their van or camper. Some may be VW specific, but most will be about products that would work in any van, camper or RV.

UPDATE 04/12/2021: I have finally found a new dog! She's a 10 month old Australian Cattle Dog named Willow. I got her from The Humane Society and she is already settling in very nicely. Stay tuned, as I'm sure I'll be posting a bunch about her adventures with me and her life as a Van Life Dog.

UPDATE 07/24/2021: I've been getting a lot of questions about how Willow is doing. Willow has really been great and has become the van life dog I'd hoped for. She loves hanging out in the forest for each two week stay and seems to be very happy. She has come out of her super-shyness state and loves meeting other people as well as other dogs. Her passion is chasing the ball and we have ball chasing sessions several times a day to help keep her energy levels in check. I couldn't be happier with my decision to adopt her and look forward to many years together. Follow this link for a gallery of my favorite images of her so far.
